I recenty bought a Nokia 5210 (DCT3) on ebay which was locked to T Mobile.
I successfully unlocked it using a code generating program. When I put in
either a Vodafone or BT sim in I get full signal but the phone will not
send or recieve calls although it will send and recieve text.
With an O2 sim however the phone works fine.
Any ideas?

Looks like it wasnt unlocked. Take it to someone at a market and get them to
do it

But when I entered the unlock code, which was for T Mobile, I got an
unlocked message. It will accept a Vodafone or BT sim & comes up with full
signal, can send and recieve texts, just not calls, in or out.
I would expect if it were not unlocked I would get "invalid sim" message.

I think it's blocked, yes. Call up vodafone and check it out - perhaps o2
haven't 'noticed' it's blocked, so it still works. If it doesn't work on any
network except o2 then it's probably blocked. If it wasn't unlocked, it
would never accept the other network SIM cards in the first place.

I think we're getting confused here!
Your unlock code has now allowed your phone to accept any networks' SIM
card. The problem is that the handset is IMEI blacklisted, so it is still
useless - there is no 'code' to reverse this.
The only remote chance you would have of reversing it is for the person who
blacklisted the phone in the first place were to get in touch with the
network that the phone was originally used with.
i.e. no chance at all!!
