Hi there,
I finally got mobile Phone Tools to actually sync between Outlook on my
PC and the phone. This is no easy task!
So I took my Bluetooth dongle and put it in another PC and paired it up
with the phone, did another sync and all was fine. Only problem is that
the V3 has deleted the original PC from the device list and every time
I swap from one PC to the other, I have to re pair the phone to the PC.
Should I be able to share the same dongle between two PC's and if so,
does anyone know if there is some kind of restriction on the V3 where
you can only have one instance of each device type.
My BT headset is unaffected by the PC swapping.
Thanks
BennyBoy

Re: Mulitple PC's & Bluetooth on V3 Razr
I have both my desktop and my laptop showing in Device History. However,
I use different dongles for each. The Desktop has its dongle plugged
into the back and it's a pain to take it out so I bought another dongle
for the laptop. That second one didn't come with the Widcomm drivers and
I spent about 5 hours learning all about that problem! In the end all
works well and the v3 remains paired with both PCs, a headset and my new
Jeep's UConnect feature. Since each device has it's own MAC type
address, maybe the v3 can only pair with one specific configuration per
dongle/device.
Don't know if it's still available but I saw BT dongles on sale at
CompUSA for $9.95 yesterday - but the rack was empty.

I bought this one yesterday. It's a Belkin. So far, I have had no
luck with it being able to be recognized by Windows XP Service Pack 1
when I plug the device into my USG port on my PC. Any ideas what is
wrong?
