When people usually say it's not the money it's the principle that
usually means it IS the money and the money is just such a small amount
that they don't want to seem cheap so they say it's the principle.

It is not any more immoral than a $2 tax on each wireless phone number.
This has nothing to do with Montgomery county other than it is income to
them. If they were not the government, it would be extortion. I truly feel
the goverment has its hands in too many private pots. If there is ever a
party to start dumping tea ... please let me know because I will be there

It is irrelavent whether he can afford it or not. The point is the
goverment is taking it ... and without a sane reason [posted so far] to show
for it. Simply needing money and levying a tax on unsuspecting wireless

THAT is simply a rationalization as to why you are a wimp and don't fight to
keep your money in your pocket, where it belongs. So far, I have seen no
mention of why the government of Montgomery county can claim rights to that
$2 other than they want it, citing no relavent need (paying the janitor is
not a relavent need to tax a cellphone user).

A cell phone is NOT a necessity, it a LUXURY. There's WAY too many
people out there that think a cell phone is a necessity. I bet you
complain over every little thing that comes your way. Your talking

Your anti-governments rants make me want to puke. Costs go up. Do you
think the government has to send you documented information on all the
costs around the area to tell why costs go up? To say that they are
taking the money without a sane reason is B.S. considering you don't
even know what the reason is. For all you know there could be a good
reason. I know that there could also be no good reasons, but for you
just to go into a big anti government crusade is amusing at best.

So I'm the wimp, but you try to resort yourself to adolescent name
calling, isn't that ironic. I love money just like anybody else and if
I felt I was being ripped off by anybody I'd mention it, however if it
was that big of a deal to me I'd cancel my service with the people
ripping me off. I wouldn't ***** and moan and roll around on the floor.
People who say everything is based on principle are the people who want
everything handed to them and don't want to work for anything. COSTS
INCREASE!!!!!! What a shame that his cell phone service can't stay at
14.95 a month from now until eternity, get a life.

I don't have an anti-goverment attitude. I do have an anti-tax attitude in
cases where it is too high. Further, taxes going up is not the same thing
as costs going up. What is the $2 TAX for? I said that I have seen no sane
reason posted as to what that tax is for. Clearly you decided to skip that?
Man get a life and quit kissing the IRS proverbial ass.

I won't continue to argue this with you beyond this. Who's costs are you
referring to? Montgomery County? What interest do they have in mobile
communications that justifies their tax on it? Surely somebody here can
post this. It is simple, if you are over charged or taxed unfairly, you do
something about it. It has nothing to do with whether you can afford it.
It has nothing to do with Sprint PCS service in and of itself, so cancelling
service is not a satisfactory solution to Montgomery counties over taxation
(apparently, as no justifiable reason has yet been posted).

As far as name calling? I did not call you a name, I described you ... A
WIMP. You don't stand up for yourself in a situation that you should ...
    which surely fits the description.

Montgomery County provides MANY services, more so than most counties.
Someone has to pay for them. Many (most?) entities levy utility user's
taxes on electricity, phones, gas etc. To help compensate, many areas
help low income people by offering subsidized basic phone service and
either subsidized electric rates or low rates if you stay under a
certain threshold. Since many people have given up land lines and have
only a cel phone - these thould be taxed just as other items are.
As you mentioned, Montgomery County IS an upscale area, for the most
part. If you are being priced out of living in an upscale area, maybe
now is the time to move to a lower cost home.

So, an item or service being classified as a luxury gives people the right
to screw others? I fail to see your point. The government taxes
EVERYTHING, including the air you breathe. Maybe when you become elderly, a
little twirp like you might be rude to you. Or maybe they'll just pass a
