So Phillippe, why don't you answer the previous question proposed to
you on many occasions? Why so many name & ID changes? Only a troll
would need to change his ID so many times!

Oh, and have you PLONKED ole Justin yet? He has posted some mighty
salty language over the past couple of days ...

Can you say OFF TOPIC ?

You pick the fight and then complain about the noise in the newsgroup?

Why don't you talk about Sprint's emperiled economic viability?

What does that have to do with Sprint going out of business?

Why don't you get back on topic and talk about Sprint's serious financial
    difficulties?

Read it again. They're going to cut $1 billion, haven't said how, will say in
December, including associated costs. Those are the costs of laying folks off,
the costs of terminating leases for stores they'll close, etc.

Sprint must be close to Bankrupcy.

What's to say? Sprint has said that they are going to cut expenses.

They didn't say anything about going out of business, or even
reorganizing via Chap. 11. The only one here saying "going out of
    business" is you.

Merry Christmas to you too troll. Layoffs will be mostly in LD, LTD, and
data. PCS has gone through their layoffs. There might be some
consolidation in AVP's and maybe to director level. No stores closing.
As a matter of fact, more stores opening in 4th quarter.

Unfortunately if cuts is a signal of a company going under, than just
about most comapnies in US are going under. Verizon, ATT, and Cingular
    has had 1000's of layoffs.

    Re: Layoffs coming at SPRINT

I have read three articles on this subject and not one of them even
suggests that Sprint is in trouble. Reorganizing the way they do things
makes a lot of sense to me. It will mean better service, better plans,
improved CS, and a more efficient company. This hardly *****s
bankruptcy or death spiral. Where are you getting any of this trash
    from?
So what if they end up laying a few people off? they plan on opening
more local stores all across the country. Do you have any idea how many
people get Sprint but have no local access? Those who are layed off the
old system will probably be retrained and get first pick of new
positions. Cutting costs does not mean loosing out when they also plan
    to expand their services.
    Please go troll somewhere else.

While the articles you have read today may not mention it specifically,
many articles over the last eightenn months have consistently pointed
out the weakness and unprofitability of PCS. This is a division that
has never made money, and has been mentioned more than once as a
candidate for selling and being taken over by another provider. And no
company lets a news story mentioning 10,000 potential layoffs go
unresponded to if there isn't some truth to it. And a company does not
potentially lay off over 10% of their workforce if they are not in
trouble. All the spin in the world can't hide the fact that this is a
company that is struggling much more than the competition, and in an
industry that won't have room for the weaklings for very much longer.

And I can't remember the last time posting an independent news story
qualified as trolling. The real story hurts sometimes.

Where in the world would you get a figure of 10,000 employees?? That's
more than half of PCS workforce. You are making up your own figures.

I didn't say PCS, I said Sprint, which employs about 70,000 (including
PCS). When I find the article I was reading, I'll post the link (I
don't need to make **** up)

Here's the article, but I didn't see anything about layoffs. More talk
    about recombining the stocks.
