I just acquired an unlocked AT&T V600. My Cingular sim card works OK.
As it was an AT&T phone, however, the right upper menu key is keyed to
"m-Life," which does me no good as a Cingular subscriber. Can the
phone be reprogrammed for whatever feature this key normally selects
in a non-branded phone? Can it also be reprogrammed to remove all the
AT&T-specific stuff and revert to a generic configuration? Thanks!
    B. L.

You can change the button funtions under
Settings: Personalize: Home Screen: Home Keys
    See manual for details.

With AT&T phones, you can not change the m-life button from the menu. I
have been looking how to hack it, but have not found anything so far. I
want that button changed and that AT&T logo that takes up the top of the
    screen, covering any good wallpaper.

V600 question for the Pro's (Call Barring)

I have Cingular for a service provider, and there phones do
NOT have Call barring (If a call comes in and the number is not in
your phonebook, it automagicly goes to voicemail) Is there any way
to re-enable this? so it works?

    Any and all help appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    MIchael

All in all I think its Cingular, but who knows for sure
