Hi,
I had the same problem . Use a rubber band to secure the external adapter
to the regular antenna on the phone. My regular antenna and ext. port were
right next to each other. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem. I just squeezed the outer metal part of the conector on
the antenna cable so it would fit tightly.
