Hey, so I am a frustrated SOB who is finally sick of Virgin mobile treating me like I am some delinquent.

I purchased the evo 3D phone about 8 months ago and I have had 4 replacement models since then because the phone continues to exhibit the same issues over and over and over, regardless of troubleshooting or updating.

I have spoken with countless representatives about this from their famed customer service department and the following has led me to finally decide to jump ship and seek a different provider.

Inconsistent information from one customer service agent to another.

Being told I will get a different model phone sent to me since the previous 4 have all had the same issues, then being told the opposite from the "Saves" department.

Paying 200$ for a phone that is soon obsolete and without any updates to improve its functionality.

And finally, bouncing off sprints signal towers so my service is utter garbage.

I told the last representative that if he did not do right by me I am moving to another provider, and that is it, I am done with them. He acted like a belligerent moron who couldn't even speak english properly.

So what I need to know is, in the state of New York, what are some decent alternatives to Virgin mobile (aside from T-mobile because they suck too)? Oh and boost is just another subsidiary of Sprint so forget them. I thought about Metro PCS but their phone selection is garbage.

Sprint has a "As you go" plan which has limited phone models as well. It is only 10$ more than virgins monthly unlimited plan and you get the priority signal, not secondary status.

The only decent phone I have seen for it is the samsung victory LTE. I am considering it seriously, unless any of you can talk me into something else.

Yes I want a Smart Phone, and the state I live in is New York, where there is excellent coverage map of all the main providers, including Virgin.

    So go ahead, shoot!

    And thank you.

I use a service called Ting. They use verizon network to roam on. Only certain phones are set up to work with the service. You pay only for what you use. I'm happy with the service. Also I can give a $25 promotion coupon to anyone who joins though the link below.

Yes, definitely give Ting a try. They now even offer GSM service via T-Mobile's towers. You can use your own phone or just get one on Craigslist or Ebay https:// zb7pqk11l14.ting.com/
