if you see any i930s on there.. you aren't going to get them until they are released, and motorola has like 2 or 3 phones for released before they even release the i930.

some of the new phones should start being released in april or may. I would not expect to see the i930 much before the end of the summer.

Waiting
Also tired of waiting for the XBox II but I would rather have a timely good product than a rushed piece of crap.
Needless to say motorola has too much to lose to bring out a seriously bad product, and they will not stand for someone not working on it, so it will come when it's ready.

before doing any educated research, i placed a bid on ebay for a i930. the guy had a pic of it in his hand. i havent paid for it yet and the auction ends in like 5hrs. the title of the auction says "NOT PRESALE". does that mean this is the real deal? or is this guy a scammer? i have a feeling this phone will be one of those where the software expires. HELP!

ok first the i930 is going to be about 400$ just like every other phone when it came out. When the i95 came out it was 400$. Same with the 730,830, and 860. it is most likely coming out late april early june. the nextel stores dont know. as some one else said their usually the last to know. +the phone had alot of problems and the delay might also have came from the merge of sprint and nextel and the i930 might be the first phone to be used with the new company of nextel and sprint.

Bluetooth is also another consideration - and since the original design of the i930 didn't have it, and with the advent of the other vendors including Sprint having Bluetooth, I'm sure Moto convinced Nextel to wait and add it to the phone, especially since the add-on sale of the BT earpiece could fetch another $50 to $100 bucks in addition to purchasing the i930 phone for Nextel.
Have a cold one and a good one!

Hi all,
Have any of you heard this info:
"The i930 is Motorola's new ultra-high-end iDEN phone. It's a really ambitious model, with dual color displays, a camera, Windows Mobile, GSM, infrared, and an SD card slot. It might be a bit too ambitious, though... It's been in the rumor mill for about a year and a half now, and according to Moto, it still won't be out until the second half of 2005.
One slight disappointment is that the i930 doesn't have Bluetooth. But then again, as delayed as it is already, if the i930 had Bluetooth it probably wouldn't be out until 2006...Making the i930 even more ambitious for Motorola is the fact that the i930 is planned to be the first phone with the new WiDEN high-speed data technology, which provides data rates four times faster than current iDEN technology. But that may be the straw that breaks the camel's back, so to speak. All of these cutting-edge features have a multiplier effect that makes the phone exponentially more complicated to engineer and difficult to test, hence the delays. But with all of these delays, some features of the phone - like the mere VGA camera and lack of Bluetooth - are making the phone look outdated by now. Which is why a Motorola representative admitted it's likely that the i930 will simply be scrapped in favor of a new model that has a megapixel camera and Bluetooth. Unfortunately, that would mean an even longer wait for an iDEN"? Saw this on www.nxtlnews.com.
I can't wait for this phone but part of me wonders if the software will be outdated by the time it is here.
