did you have to post it twice, we get it, it really does not matter, it will be shipped when it is shipped and I will buy it as soon as it is available, whenever that is.

reply for "reliable source"
This "reliable source" is a very good friend of mine that works with nextel and the i930's won't be as much as you'd think they would be. The max Price he gave me was $350.00

if you guys new better nextel and motorola are thinking of scrapping the 930 and work on the other phones because of all the problems with mobile windows
- 02-04-2005, 06:58 AM #52
this is a false rumor that is been going around, there is no evidence that they have any plans on scrapping the phone, they had a working beta that was iden/gsm so that is would work as a world phone. they were having problems with the antenna because it needed to work with both iden and gsm signals which has never been done before and it was not working well with both. they phone is rumered to be switched from iden/gsm to iden/cdma so that it will work with the future merger of sprint and nextel. no one knows this for sure but i have heard that, it does not make much difference, they are still planning on releasing the phone and it will have the newer version of windows mobile and quite possibly bluetooth.

Whats the story with i930s that people are selling now? Will they work? Do they have software? Whats the catch?
- 02-09-2005, 06:55 AM #54
if they are selling the actual phone now, it is a beta with software that will expire upon the official release of the phone. my suggestion is to wait for the official release date.

I just spoke with a nextel rep about 3 days ago. He said that there were no set dates for release that he had heard. He also said that it would be around $350 after a new 2yr. contract, but close to $500 w/o one.

I heard from a Nextel Wireless Web POD rep that nextel may charge extra for internet access on the i930.
