Inserting the SD Card:

  1. Turn off your smartphone
  2. Remove the back cover and insert the microSD card in its slot
  3. Turn on your phone and open the apps drawer from the home screen
  4. Go to "Settings"
  5. Swipe to "device" and tap "Storage" > "Mount SD card"

Checking the Amount of SD Card Storage:

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Swipe to "Device"
  3. Tap "Storage" and scroll to "SD Card"
  4. The "Available" value should be display next to the total amount of storage

Formatting the SD Card:

WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in the deletion of all data stored on it. If necessary, create backups before formatting.

  1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Scroll to "Device" and tap "Storage"
  4. Tap "Erase SD card" twice to confirm
  5. Tap "Erase everything"

Removing the SD Card:

  1. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Device"
  2. Tap "Storage" > "Unmount SD card"
  3. Turn off your smartphone and remove the back cover
  4. Remove the SD card and refit the back cover

Setting the Default Storage Location for Apps

NOTE: Most pre-loaded applications such as the "Camera" and "Browser" are set to use the phone's internal storage by default. You can set these apps to use the SD card instead.

Change the Storage Settings for "Camera":

  1. Launch the "Camera" application
  2. Tap "Menu"
  3. Go to "Settings"
  4. Tap "Memory" and tap the toggle to enable SD card storage

Change the Storage Location for "Browser":

  1. Open the "Browser" app
  2. Press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "Advanced" > "Select download"
  4. Tap "SD card"

Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card

Using a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG F60 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the "Status" bar down
  3. Tap "USB connected" > "Connect USB storage"
  4. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to "Open folder to view files" > "OK'
  5. Locate the desired files in the SD card directory
  6. Open files by double-clicking them, or delete items by selecting them and pressing "Delete" on the keyboard
  7. After you're done managing the files, tap "Disconnect storage from PC" and safely disconnect your smartphone from the USB

Using the Smartphone:

  1. Open the apps drawer and launch "File Manager"
  2. Tap "All Files" > "SD Card"
  3. Navigate to where the desired files / folders are stored on the SD card
  4. Tap a file / folder to open it
  5. Tap and hold an item that you wish to remove, and select "Delete" > "Yes"

File Transfer

Between a Windows Computer and the SD Card:

  1. Connect the LG F60 to your computer via USB
  2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "USB Connected"
  3. Tap "Connect USB storage"
  4. On the computer, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
  5. Open the "Removable Disk" directory associated with the SD card
  6. Locate and transfer the desired files from the SD card to your computer
  7. Once you're done, tap "Disconnect storage from PC" on the smartphone

Transfer Files from the Internal Storage to the SD Card:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Launch "File Manager"
  3. Tap "All Files" > "Internal storage"
  4. Navigate to the desired files
  5. Mark the check boxes associated with the files you want to transfer
  6. Press "Menu" and tap "Move" (or "Copy" if you wish to create duplicate files)
  7. Tap "SD memory card" and navigate to the desired target location
  8. Tap "Move here" or "Paste here" (depending on your initial choice)

Transfer Files from the SD Card to the Internal Memory:

  1. Open the "File Manager" app
  2. Tap "All Files" and go to "SD Card"
  3. Locate the files stored on the SD Card that you wish to transfer
  4. Mark the check boxes next to the desired files
  5. Press "Menu" and tap "Move" or "Copy"
  6. Tap "Device storage" and navigate to where you wish to transfer the selected items
  7. Tap "Paste here" or "Move here"
