Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management
  4. Enable “Battery saver” and select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Go to the “Display
  3. Under “Basic settings”, tap “Brightness
  4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
  5. For timeout options, tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. If necessary, access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & power saving
  4. Turn “Game optimizer” OFF

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Smart functions
  3. Tap “Smart settings
  4. Turn Smart settings OFF

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling your phone’s connectivity options when unused, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, GPS, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “Network” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering
  4. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and turn the feature OFF
  5. Return to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
  6. For GPS options, scroll to “Personal”, tap “Location” > “Mode” and select “Battery saving (Networks only)

Temporarily Switch to 2G Networks:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode
  5. Select “GSM only

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life even when not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management
  4. Tap “Apps” and access “Downloaded
  5. Tap and hold the desired application
  6. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable
  7. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall

Disable Background Data:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. If necessary, access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data
  4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Restrict background data
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Sync Settings to Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing your accounts’ sync settings to sync less data or sync less often, you might improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and access “Accounts & Sync
  4. Optionally, disable “Auto-sync data
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account to change the sync settings associated with it
