Is their such a thing as a quad band Motorola L6 SLVR that works on 850/1900 bands. They look just like the L7's only they are silver and I think they are a PTT phone. I see them on e-bay, but I have had people tell me they do not exist. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

I checked phonescoop.com for your phone's specs, and I think this answers your question:
    "GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900 carrier-dependent; some versions tri-band".

There you have it, your friends who told you it didn't exist just have the tri-mode version from their carrier, but there is a quad-band version of this phone out there. Oh before I forget, Here is the link for phonescoop and what they say about the L6.
