It's the curse of the cult of Apple.

Return your iTunes V3i and get a non iTunes V3i. The iTunes V3i is locked to a 50 song limit. The non iTunes V3i uses Motorola's DAP player and has no limit.

Motorola makes two versions of the V3i. One is your iTunes and that version has a 50 song limit. Motorola also makes a non iTunes version of the V3i and that version comes with a DAP (digital audio player) and has no limit. I use the DAP version and have a 1GB card in my phone with the only limits being the storage capacity of the 1GB card.

I normally use Cellular Concepts (cellularconcepts.com - Home) to buy all my phonesbut just checking there for you I don't see that they have any non-iTune V3is in stock. Best bet is to immediately return the iTunes V3i so you don't get stuck with that and shop around the Internet and see if you can find a supplier who has fresh inventory of the DAP V3i.

    Good luck.
