I finally figured out a way to buy and then import songs into my new phone.
1. Go to SonyConnect.com and join and download Sonic Stage
2. Connect to Sony Connect and purchase songs you want.
3. Open My Library in Sonic Stage and insert a blank CD-R in your PC
4. Click on the add tracks arrow to transfer songs to the audio CD pulldown window
5.Go to the Controls pulldown menu and click on create CD, the upper right window will show transferring and writing progress
6.CD will eject when done, push the CD back in.
7. Plug the USB cable into the PC and the phone
8.Click select "File Mode" on the phone
9. Open Sony Disc 2 Phone program on PC
10.Click on pull down menu and select "Audio CD"
11. Click transfer arrow in upper right corner and transfer to "F" drive(phone card)
You will receive a message telling you to disconnect the USB cable and the song is now ready to listen to on your phone.

If only everything in life was this simple.
