music will not play!

ok, i just recently got my Kingston Micro SD memory card, and i got the music on my phone, however, when i go to play it through my adio player it continues to say "unsupported file" now i have noticed that the music that does work is a mp3.dm file and my music is only .mp3, does this take an effect on the way the phone reads the file? all i want to do is be able to listen to my music on my phone, pls help me.thank you
