BOSTON (AP) -- Antoine Walker is coming back to Boston after the Celtics agreed to trade Gary Payton, Tom Gugliotta and Michael Stewart to Atlanta on Thursday.
The Hawks will also get a future first-round draft choice, spokesman Arthur Triche said Thursday. The trade was pending league approval.

He is not going to play one game there. He will be waived by the Hawks and might go back to Boston.

BOSTON (AP) -- Gary Payton was back in Celtics green Friday night, one week after Boston shipped him off to Atlanta in a trade for Antoine Walker.
Payton, who re-signed with Boston on Friday after being waived by the Hawks, said he chose the Celtics over Sacramento and Phoenix.
``I thought Boston was the better fit,'' Payton said before the Celtics faced Charlotte on Friday night.
``With the young guys, I thought I was obligated to come back to them and teach them some more,'' he said. ``The young kids were calling me almost every day saying 'come on back Gary.' I decided it was the right fit to come back here.''
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Boston will make the playoffs with gary and antoine back but they'll get crushed easily by some of the top teams in the east.

I love the Celts but they would not beat the Heat or Pistons but I don't think they would be crushed. They are a young talented team and with veterns like Pierce, Walker and Payton, they will not be ran over and will be hard to beat.

The East is not yet as good at the West and the Atlantic division is very weak but the Celtics did beat the Suns and the Pistons. They should win at least the first or second round. The only team in the East that can beat this team in the playoffs is the Heat and the Pistons. But in my opinion, Heat will face the Spurs in the Finals, which many people think as well.
