That's nice to pop your sim card in different phones each day, if you WANT to pay for 2 or 3 or 4 phones to do the work of one. But I doubt most people want to.

You aren't "stuck" with your CDMA provider to any greater degree than you are "stuck" with your GSM provider. Nearly all major providers request a 1 or 2 year commitment, but also most will allow a month to month arrangement.
