You are not the only one, but OTOH my first mobile phone (a Technophone) is
an exhibit in the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester!

Well done, I've been that way for years.

Soon you will be wearing nice comfy trousers with elasticated waist
bands and going on holiday to a caravan park in Rhyll - why waste money
on going abroad with a load of foreigners when there's so much you
haven't seen in Britain, that's what I always say.

I did just that the other week. It was most refreshing, and it's really
helpful having a phone where I DON'T NEED TO CHARGE IT UP EVERY OTHER DAY!
    (caps intentional!)

6310i's are a masterpiece. I just need to get mine updated with the most
recent version of the software. Anyone know where/how much? Nottingham
    area.

It will have to be a Nokia Service Centre unless you want to take a chance
on someone buggering it up. What version do you have..? Mine are 5.51 and
work fine, even with Bluetooth, which has been known to be a problem with
    some versions.

I've seen it for years. Been using 2 6310i's for over 4 years and see no
    reason to change.

....and I have a 6230i. I am happy with that. I use it for so many
    things..
    1. Making/receiving calls.
    2. Sending text messages.
    3. Listening to podcasts
    4. Taking pictures.
    5. Using various Java applications.
    6. Occasional use of the Net.
    7. Making notes.
    8. Listening to the radio.
    9. Appointments and reminders
    10. Voice memos.
It all synchronises with my computer via bluetooth.
The only improvements I am looking for in a new phone are WiFi and a
multi -megapixel camera - but the one in the 6230i isn't bad.
However, he prices will have to come down a long way before I make a
    change.

    Ok, let's see ;-)

    > 1. Making/receiving calls.

Ok, that's always useful in a phone..!

    > 2. Sending text messages.

Occasionally, but not like some of these teenagers I see ;-)

    > 3. Listening to podcasts

    Whatcasts..? You've lost me.

    > 4. Taking pictures.

I've got a camera for that.

    > 5. Using various Java applications.

I've got several PC's for that, what on earth would I want to do with a
*phone* that would possibly need Java..?

    > 6. Occasional use of the Net.

    See answer 5 ;-)

    > 7. Making notes.

I use old fashioned pen and paper for that..!

    > 8. Listening to the radio.

I use a radio for that..!

Diary (yes, you guessed, pen and paper..!)

    > 10. Voice memos.

Can't see a use for those. However, if it works for you..

WiFi..? Hmm, possibly. Photos, no, I still prefer my dedicated camera. No,
on balance I think I'll stick with the trusty 6310i's..!
