Checking the Data Connection You’re Using

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then tap Mobile Network -> select Network operations or Access Point Names.

Turning Off the Date Connection

By turning off your date connection you will conserve the battery life and also save money on the data charges.

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then turn the Mobile network switch to Off.

Note: Keep in mind that if your data connection is off and you’re not connected to Wi-Fi either, then you won’t be receiving any automatic updates via email or social network accounts.

Adding an Access Point

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then tap Mobile network and select Access Point Names.
3. Then, from the Access Point Names screen tap Menu and select New APN.
4. While on the Edit access point screen, type in the APN settings and tap the desired APN setting item that you’d like to edit.
5. When done, tap Menu and select Save.

Enabling Date Roaming

You can connect to the networks of your mobile operator’s partners whenever you’re outside of your coverage area. But, keep in mind that using data services while roaming is usually costly, so it’s recommended that you check with your mobile operator first to see what charges you'll have.

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then select Mobile network and tap Data roaming.
3. You can also select Data roaming sound if you want your smartphone to let you know when you’ll connect to a roaming network.

Turning Wi-Fi On

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. Then the Wi-Fi switch to turn the option ON.
3. Tap Wi-Fi and you’ll see a list of detected networks.
4. Touch the network you’d like to connect to and then tap Connect.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network While Using Enhanced Security

In order to connect to a Wi-Fi network that has EAP-TLS authentication protocol, you may have to install a network certificate to your HTC One VX.
1. First off, you need to save the certificate to the rood folder located on the storage card.
2. Then open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
3. Then tap Security and select Install from storage.
4. Select the network certificate that you need to connect to the EAP-TLS network.
5. Then just turn the Wi-Fi on and connect to the desired network.

Adding a VPN Connection

Note: You will need to create a lock screen PIN or password in order to use credential storage and set up a VPN.

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. From Wireless & Networks, tap More.
3. Then tap VPN and select Add VPN network.
4. Type in the VPN settings and make sure they’re set up accordingly to the security details provided by the network administrator.
5. Then tap Save.

Connecting to a VPN

1. Open the Notifications panel and tap Settings.
2. From Wireless & Networks, tap More.
3. Then tap VPN and select the VPN where you’d like to connect to.
4. Enter the log in credentials and tap Connect.
5. And that’s it! You should now be connected to a VPN.
