I think I will upgrade my 6230 with the 4.28 firmware. Someone said
that this kills all the ringtones Nokia ships with the phone. Can
anyone confirm this, or its opposite? I like some of the ringtones
and would not want to lose them.
Alternatively, how can I back these up, given that Nokia
copy-protects them. OBEX transfers fail. I can't move them to the
MMC. Another instance of a customer being ****ed over by the
companies trying to make money?
Is there any way I can obtain the ringtones that are on the 6230
from the Net? It must be possible to get updates to the crap Nokia
put on my phone and also keep the property (ringtones, etc.)
I acquired.
Cheers,
-m
