i just got my moto v600 back from being unlocked and i put my brand new 64k smart chip that i got recently from cingular
well when i turn the phone on it sits at the searching for network screen for a bit then goes to the main screen and just says no service or unregistered sim

Have you tried the sim card in another phone? If it works, then its not the sim card. If it is the sim card, you can go into a local Cingular dealer or on Ebay and purchase a new sim card. If you buy it at a dealer they should be able to activate it for you, and if you buy online then just call CS to activate it.

You need to call Cingular and have them registered your sim card in their system.

Oh I see, you already have a new sim card. Tony is correct, just call CS and they will ask for the sim card number(located on the sim card) and then activate it for you.

well, i was having the same problem except it isnt the sim card i got a unlocked slver from ebay when i put it in my new phone i have know service.
Please help me

Example if you are in the USA, the Frequency band should be set to 850/1900mhz

If you don't have the correct network setting your phone will simply not have any signal, it will not show a "no service message" as long as you're using the correct sim card for the carrier you are using.
