V3 Razr Problems

Hey all,

I've had my Razr for a little over 2 weeks now. In that time it's done a couple strange things:

1) Maybe 3-4 times when I flip the phone open, the screen has gone completely white for a few seconds, then black, then I get back to the main screen. It's as if the phone crashed and rebooted itself or was hung for several seconds then recovered.

2) Today I set the phone to vibrate and headed into class. When I came out of class, I pulled my phone out of my pocket to set it back to loud. However, I noticed the phone was completely off. I had to hold the Red button a few times before it would finally come back on. Thing is, I just charged it yesterday and the battery still shows full power and I don't see how I could have bumped it in such a way that it got turned off.


Now, these things seem to happen randomly and aren't that frequent so they aren't a huge issue. I've googled quite a bit and have found lots of other people with similar issues but never a solution. Also, my posts on other cell phone message boards have gone completely unanswered thus far.

My guess is that maybe a newer flex/software could correct the issue? I haven't modded my phone at all except to add a couple mp3 ring tones. Here's what I"m running:

call tmobile and ask for a handset replacement, you prolly got a bad 1, a lot of the chinese made razr have problems. they were manufactured in malaysia and brazil as well but with far fewer problems.

you should know that motorolla phones, although they are nice phones, they suck. They are made very cheaply and I dunno why but the problems you're mentioning are not uncommon with moto phones.

you are rite miss gill, they have been making them really crappy since they signed on with the chinese facilities. i have had a moto v60t for well over 7 years now, made in brazil, quality is top notch, dropped it hundreds of times and the thing still works like a champ. they have got to get some quality control at these plants in asia.
