Around the Quarter 2, June 7, it is expected that up to 3.5 to 4 million iPhone 4G phones will be shipped according to DigiTimes. With this said, that would mean that Apple may have plans on launching the smartphone right after they announce it. In quarter 3, it's estimated that around 9 million of these devices will be shipped.
With June 7 just around the corner, it's also been reported by DigiTimes that a certification has been obtained by Largan Precision for a 5MP optical lens for the new iPhone 4G's camera as well as a VGA optical lens of 0.3MP for the front facing video calling camera of the iPhone 4G. Other specs include the possibility of a 960 x 640 pixel resolution display as well as a faster processor and longer battery lifetime.
